Solar recipe: Stuffed tomatoes
Here’s a new recipe for Stuffed Tomatoes, made by our Solar Sister Francine with the SunGlobe parabolic solar cooker. Francine shares her passion, tips and advice for successful solar cooking.
Recipe suggested by : Francine – Solar oven: parabolic type, SunGlobe – Preparation time: 15 min – Cooking time: 1 h
Ingredients for 2 persons :
- 6 large tomatoes, cored
- 1 egg
- 2 red onions
- thyme, parsley and basil, minced
- 1/2 head garlic, minced
- 300g beef mince
- 1 handful breadcrumbs, crumbled
Preparing the stuffed tomatoes
- Beat the egg and add all the ingredients.
- Mix well and season.
- Fill the tomatoes with the mixture.
- Replace the caps on the tomatoes and place the crushed tomato pulp between the tomatoes.
- Cooking time 1h.
A quick reminder: cooking time always depends on the utensil used, its thickness and color.
The thinner the metal and the darker the color, the faster the cooking!
Enjoy your meal!
