The WAPI is a water pasteurization indicator, usable with most cooking methods but particularly suitable for solar cooking.
Reusable, WAPI is a device containing a soy wax that indicates when the heated water has reached its pasteurization temperature of 65°C. At this temperature, the wax contained in the WAPI melts and this is the witness of pasteurization.
Bacteria and organisms in the water are then destroyed and the water is safe to drink.
