Using the ^SUNMOOVE® 6.5 Watt solar charger

Principle

Solar panels convert sunlight directly into a 5 V electrical voltage; they do not store energy. The energy produced by the solar panel is then stored in a battery (smartphone, powerbank, camera, speaker, tablet, micro-camera, etc.). For maximum efficiency, our ^SUNMOOVE® solar chargers are designed with “SUNPOWER ^TM” monocrystalline cells, which deliver 25-35% more power than conventional cells. An LED charge indicator integrated into the solar panel ensures that the device is fully charged.

What’s the weather like?

– The sun is shining: perfect weather for solar charging. Plug in your device and fully unfold the 4 ^SUNMOOVE® solar panels in the direction of the sun, charging starts immediately. For optimum charging, we recommend that you orient the panels perpendicular to the sun’s rays.
– If the weather is overcast: a powerbank (buffer battery between the solar charger and the device) is required.
– Rainy weather: ^SUNMOOVE® solar panels are designed with waterproof materials for outdoor use. The USB output on the back of the panel is therefore protected in case of rain (the USB output is not waterproof: do not leave it in the water). Dry the ^SUNMOOVE® solar charger after use before folding and store in a dry place.
– If the light is too weak or your device too demanding: use a powerbank battery as a buffer between the solar panel and your device.

Which devices can be charged?

The ^SUNMOOVE® solar charger is compatible with all USB charger cables, and is supplied with a USB-C / Micro USB / iPhone cable. It charges smartphones, mini action cameras, SAT phones and other 5 V devices. The ^SUNMOOVE® 6.5 Watt solar charger is equipped with a charge indicator on the solar panel’s USB port, so you can check whether your device is being charged. For optimum charging of your devices, orient and stabilize the panels perpendicular to the sun’s rays.

Where to use it

The ^SUNMOOVE® solar charger slips into your pocket or bag and can be taken anywhere. Weighing just 190g and in an ultra-compact format, it’s ideal for all your outdoor outings (mountain, sea, camping, …) to keep your electrical appliances charged, without any mains power, just with the sun. Versatile, it can be attached, detached or suspended using carabiners, depending on your needs: backpack, bicycle luggage, car dashboard, paddle, etc. Its robust, waterproof panel adapts to all outdoor conditions.

In Practice!

1°/ Unfold the ^SUNMOOVE® 6.5 Watt solar panel
2°/ Connect the device using the USB cable supplied (USB-C / Micro USB / iPhone cable)*.
3°/ Orient the panel towards the sun, with the panels perpendicular to the sun’s rays.
4°/ Use the charge indicator LED to check that the device is working.
5°/ Enjoy the sun, it charges!
